Liked everything but somewhere along the line the breakfast disappeared from my booking and was not included when I booked breakfast as part of the room, I checked this was the case and in fact the room would have been less when I booked it if breakfast was not included. I recommended the same room to a friend and encouraged her to book it with breakfast with the idea we would do breakfast together. My friend when she booked because she booked last minute and paid straightaway she had breakfast included I didn’t! Staff claimed it was because it was booked directly with them when I showed them that was not the case because it was booked on her behalf, and would they agree to giving me breakfast because I would have paid less for the room otherwise they said no and I had to pay for me and two kids! The booking stated they would take the pay two days before but didn’t. Apart from this the hotel was beautiful and we enjoyed the stay!

Staff were fantastic. I arrived late, they rang to check if I was coming. Greeted with lovely fire burning, very friendly and helpful guy on reception, can't rem his name sorry. Went to bar for a drink after my long journey and again greeted by very friendly young lady..again I can't rem names as I did ask. It was no problem that I was a late guest and she checked if there was anything else I needed. Staff were busy sorting for breakfast etc and guy in reception was also covering other duties. All seemed happy to be there so all in all a lovely friendly atmosphere. Room was comfortable and spotless and I enjoyed my stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed the pub and your staff was lovely. Breakfast hit everybody’s needs, especially once we found out we could get coffees from your espresso machine😉 The pool facility was very appreciated by almost everybody. Golf was a great hit w the golfers. I loved that my windows opened and had a lovely green view! You accommodated our bedding needs for our little ones. You had a child friend vibe which also was much appreciated!

Room was lovely - clean and had a very comfortable bed. Very good dinner - cooked to a high standard. We had Salmon Parcel and Scotch Egg followed by Roast Hake and Featherblade Beef. Both delicious. Breakfast was good - however I would have loved a choice of eggs - only scrambled egg available. Options of poached / fried / omlette would have been lovely.

Very pleasant staff, especially in Leisure Centre & Bar. Overall hotel is comfortable, clean & we enjoyed our stay. Open fire in reception area lovely & very welcoming. Bedroom was comfortable & good size for our group. Breakfast was good with good choice of hot food.
